Everyday in my life is important. I cant take a day when I have not moved forward in some way, for my work , for a friend , each day must have a high point I can remember. No wonder the doctor says I have an A type personality. On any day I meet dozens of people , and there is always someone who stays in my mind for some special reason.
Today I knew I was meeting a person I had seen on the screen many times. Her exquisitely chiselled face was etched in my mind as was her amazingly glamorous persona and dress sense. She walked in for the private meeting at my house with my secretary bringing her up , to what is called the cosy room. I looked at her and even for a professional like me who has see the most famous faces disrobed of make up it took a few seconds of acceptance. She hugged me and told me how much she admired my products. As she spoke on I found in her the vulnerability that stalks women who's faces are on extreme scrutiny, women who's every wrinkle , every spot becomes a talking point. A woman's vanity and her need to be beautiful at all times is a common thread that binds all of us , but imagine a woman who has everything in the world because of her face and then imagine her distress when she sits back for the preview of her latest block buster and finds a slim line on the side of her fabulous lips, and wedges of time on her neck. Tears were swelling into her eyes as she spoke of the nerve recking pressure her carrier brought with it for movie stars, and I wished I could have told her that I had a magic porton that would give her agelessness, I wished I could have told her that she would stay the same forever. I could only tell her how beautiful she looked, and how I would give her a beauty plan to delay the ageing process. She looked quite happy with that because somewhere within we all finally accept life's deals as our destiny. She had flown in from Bombay especially to meet me and I invited her to join me for lunch. She literally picked on the food and ate as though she was on a very strict diet. She explained how one looks larger than life on the screen, and that it was essential for her to look stay very slim. She is in regular touch with me now , and has become a good friend. I see in her face the beauty and appeal that comes with time , a richness of experience that lends beauty a soul, the kind of quality that a young girl would need to wait for , for many years. Yet I need to say that we must be a little more understanding with our movie stars and treat their ageing with a more natural and less critical attitude. We are all human and frail within and the actress is the most emotionally vulnerable woman who is looked upon as a super woman ; someone the world is looking at with a 'dare she age' attitude.

I never thought of movie actress's in this way. I feel very bad for her, whover she was I hope she adjusts herself to age
What a touching story Shahnaz. How difficult it must be for you to handle the psycology of eash woman .
I could see myself in this blog. I used to be a model. I started when I was in collage and by the time I was 35 I was feeling age creeping up on me.I hated it, so I decided to quit and start an ad agency. I dont think its easy to hang in there terrified of age arriving full swing. My advice , if you can accept it fine, but if not , quit and do something yr age.
Touched by this piece.
Every woman in this world has one thing in common. A desire to be young and beauitful forever. This article made me feel one with the woman in the actress .
Shahanaz How difficult it must be to be ' You '. You are looked on as a of keeper and giver of youth and beauty. Are the expectations from you too much. How do you manage ?
always remeber who created you and why. this world is so beautifull. but how it came into being who thought of it. near future more beautifull so try to connect with God who craeted all of us. you may get all answers of your questions if you think little on nature
How sad to be an actress? I never thought in this way. You have made me to look at the actress in diffrent ways, so many things are in a person who we see on screen. Thanks to you Shahnazji for making me see this.
Shahnazji it has been a really pleasant surprise to discover your blog. I have used several of your products with very good results. Could you tell me the remedy for my dark lips , actually the lips is pink but the outline of the lip has become dark . Is there any product or home remedy which will help the situation? Thanks
You need to protect and condition your lips. Use a little almond oil or a paste of one almond with malai rubbed into the lips is a very good daily conditioner. Liquid lipsticks can be drying. Choose one that has a built in conditioner. Apply a thin layer of foundation on your lips before using lipstick. I will share a very useful trick to keep on your lipstick. Layer your lipstick with a powder eye shadow of the same tone. It gives a lovely effect even if it is beige and it ensures your lipstick will stay on. Repeat this procedure at least twice. Use a lip sun block. Use foundation under your lipstick to protect the skin from staining and change your brand. Avoid using very dark shades on a daily basis and stick to soft tones. Nourish your lips with Olive Oil or almond oil on a daily basis. Remove all traces of lipstick at night and use a little of your night cream on them. Drink plenty of water.
Ms. Husain I must admit - nicely written maam!!! It's Weird how people just aren't satisfied with they've got, It's even more weird (and scary) when it's nothing but a humane tendency to do so... somehow, if you ask me; the fact that we let it happen to us is the problem... then we also live in a world where actors and actresses alike are worshiped to their demise (almost)... and no matter how much we try we end up on the receiving end...
I really wonder Shahnazji who this actress was. She sounds like a top one to me. Please Please keep her young and beautiful because I think may be she is my favorite one.
Dear Shahnazji, I totally agree with you when you said, that we must have an understanding towards our actors (actresses). All of us (the so called "Fans") have a very bad tendency as we always expect them to be as they are (in terms of looks – beautiful, charming, gorgeous and etc etc etc.) But why do we forget to remember, what matters is the Inner Beauty and not the looks. And even if it is the external Looks, there are ways to tackle it. But what we shouldn't forget is in the end they are Only Human Beings just like you and me (We have a tendency to worship them like God and thus expect them to give us the Best of everything they have– their looks, especially simply because We want them to be so and so). We also have a tendency to forget all of Our Favourite Actors as soon as they are out of their Acting Careers. I don't want to pity anyone. But even today it feels sad when I remember Lalita Pawar – I was told by my elders that she was found in very sad conditions when she was found dead in her room in a CHAWL.... She had no one to look after, no one to take care of simply because as soon as she was out of Acting Career, she turned out another human being just like one amongst us (though some may call it her fate but not even out of Humanity did any of her so called Fans bother to take care of her). Lalitaji is just one such example. There are so many of these Stars (just like the one you met) whom we have forgotten or thrown out of our lives (as if they are our personal belongings to be thrown after use) with times (after they fail to ENTERTAIN US)......
