Shahnaz do not wait, start now

My father's zeal towards inculcating the right blend of traditional values and progressive ideas, taught me to love and respect the rich heritage of India. When I received all the certificates, related to beauty training from London, Paris and New York, my father's response was "Shahnaz do not wait, start now". He always believed that one must prepare for the next world. This was the birth of 'Shamute' - the free beauty training school for speech and hearing impaired girls and boys in 1984.

I have always believed that, in life, it is not what you want that is important. What really matters is how desperately you want it. It is this fire that encourages one to go beyond conventionalism and see his dreams getting fulfilled.

I have dedicated my life to spreading the Indian herbal heritage with a crusader's zeal. On seeing the harmful effects of synthetic chemicals on the skin, the determination to make everyone aware about the benefits of Ayurveda was profound. My mission in life was set and I ventured into the field of bringing joy through beauty with tremendous encouragement from my father and husband.

My work is not my career. It is the sole purpose of my existence. This obsession encourages me and any challenges that come my way, motivate me to strive to greater heights.
